Brief Job Description
I am currently the Athletic Director at Tallmadge High School. I oversee all athletics throughout our district. I work with coaches to make sure our student-athletes are getting the best possible experience and are working toward our districts mission!
Why Mount Union's M.Ed.?
I joined on a recommendation from [Mount Union's Men's Basketball] Coach Mike Fuline. I have a lot of respect for him, not only as a coach, but as a person and I knew if he said it was the right place to be, I had to pursue my goals at Mount Union. I feel this program is challenging but manageable and also very though provoking. I have learned a great deal in the program and am excited to use the tools I was given to have success in my new position! Quite simply, I wouldn't be in this position if it wasn't for Mount Union and this program.
New Ideas
I really feel like the program has helped shape me in my organizational skills and my though processes. I was challenged on so many levels during the program and feel that my experiences with the staff and the other students have given me direction in so many areas of this job I will encounter. I learned many new ideas and will use them on a daily basis.
Ultimate Career Goal?
I believe I am living it! I am an Athletic Director and coaching the boys basketball team at Tallmadge. I don't think it can get much better! And it wouldn't have happened without Mount Union, this program and all the tremendous staff that has guided me along the way.
