Mount Union, Alliance Community Collaborating to “Keep Alliance Beautiful”

ALLIANCE, Ohio – On Saturday, October 27 from 9-11 a.m., several Alliance organizations will be doing work to bring some greenery to Union Avenue in Alliance.

The project, called the “Union Avenue Beautification Project,” is enlisting volunteers to help plant trees and landscape a vacant lot on Union Avenue in Alliance.

The project is coordinated and funded by Columbia Gas, Keep Ohio Beautiful, Keep Alliance Beautiful, the City of Alliance, Alliance Shade Tree Commission, Kridler Gardens and the University of Mount Union’s Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center and Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement.

Gloves and other supplies will be provided at the event and volunteers will also be given lunch at its conclusion.
