ALLIANCE, Ohio — The University of Mount Union’s Department of Nursing is proud to announce that its entire Class of May 2024 nursing graduates passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on the first attempt.

All 19 graduates passing the test on the first attempt bests the national baccalaureate NCLEX pass rate of 94% for 2024 and 90% for 2023, according to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

“We are incredibly proud of our nurses from the Class of 2024,” said Dr. Betty Allen, associate professor and chair of Mount Union’s Department of Nursing. “This is a testament to their hard work throughout their time at Mount Union and to the leadership and care from our faculty and staff.”

Mount Union’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program boasts a 98% overall first-time pass rate on the NCLEX since its program’s inception. The University also offers a second-degree accelerated BSN program and a Master of Science in Nursing degree program to meet the needs of dedicated nurses at all levels of their careers.
