Mount Union Places Four Finalists at Burton Morgan PitchU Competition

November 20, 2018

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Out of 120 contestants from Northeast Ohio, Mount Union had four of the eight finalists at the annual PitchU competition sponsored by The Burton D. Morgan Foundation.

The competition format is challenging, as competitors are asked to pitch alone and only have 90 seconds to make the case as to why their idea is the winning one. Current undergraduate students and recent graduates within five years from Northeast Ohio colleges and universities are eligible to compete for the cash prizes.

“I could not be more honored to say my business partners and I took two of the top eight spots at PitchU this weekend,” said Gabby Cataloni ’22, a computer engineering major of Hermitage, PA. “Every competition is an eye-opening experience that displays new ways to improve and reach the maximum potential of your business. Entrepreneurship is a lifestyle and at Mount Union, this is a journey of personal growth that builds confidence in students. Their belief is not to be afraid to fail because that is the path to success."
