ALLIANCE- Welcome back, Raiders! As you begin to settle in on campus before classes start, you will notice some changes around campus. Summer 2023 was a tireless one for Mount Union; updating learning spaces and dining commons for its faculty, staff, and students to enjoy.

Beeghly Hall, B and B Café, the Center for Student Success (CSS), and the Hoover-Price Campus Center received renovations. Such renovations include a remodeled parking lot for Beeghly Hall which added over 100 parking spots, new flooring and seating like additional booths for the B and B Café, and a relocation for the CSS.

The Center for Student Success has moved to the Kolenbrander-Harter Information Center (KHIC) where there are six new offices and six independent testing rooms. You can stop by in the lower level of KHIC, right below the DWOC anytime to say hello to your favorite staff members.

Following the CSS’s move, the new Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Center has moved into the former CSS’s space in HPCC. In this remodeled space, you will find an office for its director and one for student organizations, a lounge, a conference room with high-definition technology, and an activity room with modular furniture.

The Class of 2023 class gift included a new fire pit with the infrastructure for two additional fire pits which will be out in the HPCC Patio. You will also enjoy new outdoor furniture with a TV to enjoy with friends and fellow Purple Raiders. The space also has a garage door installed making it easier to access.

In addition, you will enjoy a remodeled gaming space in Campus Grounds along with a new sound system, projector, and seating spaces to spend quality time with your friends and host events for student organizations.

"I am pleased to say that we accomplished many projects this summer," said Lee Smith, director of Physical Plant. "In addition to extra parking spaces we will add four new electrical vehicle (EV) charging stations this fall."

Lets kick off another great year with the Mount Union spirit only you bring to campus.
