Tickets Still Available for Mount Union's Schooler Lecture

March 20, 2019

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Complimentary tickets are still available for the University of Mount Union’s 2019 Schooler Lecture featuring Margaret Atwood.

The lecture is slated for 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in the Timken Gymnasium of the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex. Tickets are available the day of the event until the lecture begins at 8 p.m.

To reserve complimentary tickets, call (330) 829-6120 or fill out the online request form found at mountuion.edu/schooler-lecture-2019. Tickets must be presented for permitted entrance to the lecture.

Atwood has long been a literary titan, but “current events have polished the oracular sheen of her reputation,” says The New Yorker. With her 1985 novel The Handmaid’s Tale back on the bestsellers lists and its television adaptation nominated for 33 awarded 11 Emmy Awards, it seems Atwood’s sharp eye is more necessary—and prescient—than ever.

About the Schooler Lecture
The Schooler Lecture Series was established in 1988 with grant funding from the Schooler Family Foundation. The Foundation's philanthropy has enabled the University to provide a dramatically enhanced opportunity for young men and women studying at Mount Union and for the residents in the greater Alliance area to experience the breadth and depth of American culture.
