The University of Mount Union Band and Instrumental Music Program provides a variety of opportunities for students to continue their passion for music. These opportunities include wind ensembles, the Purple Raider Marching Band, the Raider Steel Band, jazz ensembles, private lessons, and other small chamber ensembles. Students can major in music or music education at Mount Union, although it is not required to participate in the program. There are also several ways for high school students to get involved with the program.
