My advisor and professor Dr. Loay Al-zube has been by my side pushing me to be my best. In class he is always around to answer questions and discuss lectures. As an advisor he is helping me set up my future, recommending me for internships and jobs. I couldn't ask for someone more supportive than him. His guidance has allowed me to build a skillset as an engineer throughout my time at Mount Union.

Experiential Learning Opportunities

Throughout my time at Mount Union, I've had many opportunities that are helping me become the engineer I aspire to be. I was able to travel to London this past spring semester with the engineering program and expand my knowledge on the engineering field. I was also able to land a summer internship, where I currently am learning from experts with years of experience in the field.

Choosing Biomedical Engineering

Growing up I was surrounded by many family members in the medical field, but I had no interest in the field until I learned more about Biomedical Engineering. I loved the Engineering aspect and knowing that it could be wrapped into a medical background was appealing to me and led me to follow that gut feeling. I did my research on engineering programs, and Mount Union had an excellent program, specifically a biomedical engineering major.
