Impactful Faculty

I would say that Dr. Kevin Meyer has had the biggest impact on me, because as my advisor, who works in the field I want to, he guided me in the right direction with psychology. Dr. Ryan Cook has also been a huge help, as he helped with my summer research in 2023. I would also say that Dr. Jennifer Hall helped me to continue my love for French. Learning from each of them has helped me grow as a student as well as build a curriculum as a professional.

Career Goals

I want to become a marriage and family therapist. After taking a marriage and family therapy course through Mount Union's psychology program, I fell in love with the topic and I want to help families overcome problems. Throughout my time at UMU, I've held an internship with Alliance Hospital, which has helped me establish connections with professionals in the medical field. Through this internship I've also gained new skills.

Why Mount Union?

My two older sisters went to Mount Union, and I can remember coming to events since I was young. I knew I wanted to stay in Alliance and Mount Union had so much to offer! The people part of the Mount Union community is what makes Mount Union feel like a second home. I have met so many amazing people and the staff is second to none. I feel so welcomed by everyone and that I belong.
