Why Nursing?
I always felt nursing chose me. I've cared for ill family members since I was young, then started working as a nursing assistant (STNA) in high school. The patients I cared for cheered me on to become a nurse. My family, friends, other nurses, and patients saw it in me before I did. I'm so glad they did because choosing to be a nurse is was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Favorite Part of the Job
My favorite part of the job is working with dedicated students. It's definitely not easy to be a nurse, but it is a privilege to partner with a student who is focused on that dream. We share the same goal and the best part is helping them achieve it. Mount Union nursing students and faculty strive for excellence, no less, and that is inspiring.
A Unique Program
The only person you have to compete with here is yourself. You can link arms with a peer and help each other move forward together, instead of fight for the same spot in the program.
