About Dr. Thuan Dinh Do
I have pursued trending research topics of computer and communications systems for more than 10 years. I have been recognized as an outstanding young researcher at Ton Duc Thang University and was awarded the Golden Globe Award by the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology in 2015, as well as the Medal of Creative Young Talents. I serve as an Associate Editor for five SCIE-indexed journals such as IEEE Transaction on Vehicular Technology and advised for more than five Ph.D. students and 10 Master students.
Teaching style
My teaching philosophy is centered around three key pillars: hands-on skills, critical thinking, and creativity. I believe that the best way for students to truly grasp a concept is by actively engaging with it through hands-on exercises. This helps them develop their critical thinking skills and become independent learners. I also foster an environment where students feel comfortable expressing their opinions and perspectives, leading to lively and enlightening discussions. Further, I strongly believe that creativity should be an integral part of the learning process. I aim to inspire students to think outside the box and explore new ideas. This can be achieved through assignments that encourage original thinking and problem-solving, or by encouraging students to pursue their own projects and passions.
Research
In recent years, my research focuses on signal processing for sixth generation of wireless communication and promising applications of embedded systems, specifically in the context of artificial intelligence-based Internet of Things (IoT) systems. I aim to enhance the performance and efficiency of wireless communication systems by incorporating artificial intelligence techniques. My ultimate goal is to contribute to the advancement of wireless communication technologies and enable more sophisticated and reliable IoT systems.
