Becoming a Raider
I have lived in Alliance my whole life, so I always had an interest in Mount Union. Also, my older brother is an alumnus of the university. I always heard great things from him about Mount. I was grateful to receive the Dean’s Scholarship to attend school here. It feels like a second home at Mount Union because of the small classroom sizes and the nurturing professors. The faculty does their best to make the college experience stress-free and enjoyable.
Why Nursing?
I chose nursing as my major because I have always wanted to take care of people and help positively influence someone’s life. Nursing will allow me to do exactly what I am passionate about. I believe the Integrative Core will help make me a professional in the nursing field because the curriculum has provided me with a well-rounded education in other subjects. My ultimate career goal is to become a labor and delivery nurse. Mount Union is preparing me for after graduation by providing me with high-quality educators and hands-on opportunities to improve my skills.
