A Second Home
Mount Union feels like a second home because I've made lots of friends, and have formed a brotherhood with my teammates. I can be socially awkward at times, which can be a struggle for me to make friends, but the experiences I've taken advantage of at Mount Union have allowed me to expand my friend group. My soccer coaches also make Mount feel like a second home because they have helped me with more than soccer. They've helped me improve socially, become more disciplined, and enhance my work ethic.
Hands-On Learning
I chose to major in theatre because I love to perform and share stories with other people. My favorite hands on learning experience so far has been acting on camera at Alliance High School. I enjoyed that because I have a very low voice so it's easier to hear me when the mic is an inch away. The hands-on opportunities I've received through Mount Union are not only helping me step outside my comfort zone, but discover other areas of interest as well.
Future Goals
I want to direct, shoot films, music videos, etc... Mount Union's theatre program is giving me the experiences necessary to fulfill my goals. The faculty in the theatre program have also helped me step outside my comfort zone and enhance my skills as an actor. I've learned to do things giving them my best effort and to be persistent with my goals.
