Student-Athletic Journey
I decided to visit Mount Union when the mens swim team contacted me, and once I was on campus, I knew that I would fit in. Though, I felt an immediate connection with the music department as well. Already a student I quickly developed an interest in HR thanks to an internship. I then explored psychology and added it as my minor. I love that Mount Union allows students to specialize in their desired fields, but encourages them to explore other areas of interest.
Career Goals after Mount Union
I enrolled as a business major, minoring in music, but then I found an interest for HR, making human resource management my second major. Though, thanks to the skills that I've gained through the School of Business, I want to own my own business, and I know that these skills have prepared me to take that next step with confidence.
Impactful Faculty or Staff Member
Marci Muckleroy is an exceptional staff member who has had a lasting impact on me. In her class, I gained a deeper understanding of myself, learning about both my strengths and areas for growth. She helped me craft a strong resume and cover letter, and her support goes beyond academics. No matter how busy she is, she always takes the time to greet her students, ask how they’re doing, and offer encouragement.
