Cardiac Unit Nurse

[My favorite memory at Mount Union is] interacting with amazing professors that are dedicated to sharing their passions.

Life as a Nurse

[In the Cardiac Unit], I specifically care for patients who are getting ready for or recovering from heart procedures, such as open heart surgery. My favorite part of my job is interacting with patients as well as educating them on the procedures they have received or will receive. Ultimately, I enjoy the patient-to-health professional relationship that I build with each and everyone of my patients.

Choosing Mount Union

I loved making connections with faculty and staff who are dedicated to providing all the support a student needs. They, along with migrant clinics, flu shot clinics, and volunteer opportunities helped me gain critical skills that have been useful in my career as a nurse. I am glad that I met amazing faculty who shared their passion and dedication with me. Volunteering during Covid-19 helped me see a different side of nursing which I appreciate because I was able to gain a new perspective of the world as well as of the medical field.
