Christo-Baker, Ekey Selected to Crain's Cleveland Notable Women in Education
July 15, 2019CLEVELAND, Ohio — In its inaugural listing of Notable Women in Education, Crain’s Cleveland Business recognized the University of Mount Union’s Dr. E. Anne Christo-Baker, professor and chair of the Department of Business, and Betsy Ekey, associate professor, director and chair of the Physician Assistant Studies Program.
The listing featured 30 women from across Northeast Ohio who represented a variety of employers. Mount Union was one of only three higher education institutions to have multiple women selected to the list.
“I am both elated and humbled,” said Christo-Baker. “Elated about the recognition yet humbled knowing that anything that I may have achieved this past year has been due to the support and contributions from my colleagues and others at Mount Union.”
“I’m humbled and honored to be nominated for this recognition and so grateful to be selected as a member of this outstanding group of women educators,” said Ekey. “I’m thankful to my family, the PA Studies Program and the University for supporting me in my work at Mount Union.”
