Mount Union Ascends in 2025 U.S. News and World Report Rankings for Best Value, Regional Midwest Universities

ALLIANCE, Ohio — Further establishing its status as a leading institution for students today, the University of Mount Union has climbed eight spots to 24th in U.S. News and World Report’s Best Regional Universities Rankings. The University also rose to ninth for Best Value Universities in the Midwest and second among all institutions in Ohio.

The Best Value ranking considers the ratio of quality to price, the percentage of undergraduates who receive need-based aid, and the total scholarship/need-based aid received by students. The Regional Universities ranking recognizes institutions that offer a full range of undergraduate programs and some master’s and doctorate-level programs. 

Mount Union has been a mainstay in the U.S. News and World Report rankings as 2025 marks the 34th consecutive year of being recognized by the national affiliate.

Mount Union was once again ranked as a Top Performer in Social Mobility, further illustrating its commitment to an education accessible to all students. Nearly 99% of Mount Union undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid, and nearly 83% receive need-based aid. The University also offers more than $37 million in grants and scholarships each year.
