Students Pair Business with Engineering at Sixth Annual Mount Union Design Expo
April 25, 2024ALLIANCE — A host of innovations were on display at the University of Mount Union’s Sixth Annual Engineering and Entrepreneurship Design Exposition on April 24.
More than 30 unique prototypes and research projects from students of all levels were on display for the Mount Union and surrounding communities. Projects included interstate improvements, an electronic golf pushcart, a mobile welding table and the use of electromagnetic waves through virtual reality, among several others.
The Expo was also held in conjunction with the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours event, allowing the students’ work to be seen by dozens of local business leaders.
The Expo is a showcase of Mount Union’s diverse array of engineering and entrepreneurship programming that includes Product Design, Digital Systems Design, Water Resources Engineering and the Global Engineering Field Experience, which took place in London during the 2024 Spring Break.
