Why Nursing?
I chose nursing because of the direct patient care. I wanted to make a difference in patients' lives even if it was a small one. I've worked in oncology practically my entire nursing career, and admire the nurse practitioners I worked with. They are the glue that keeps the team together.
Why Mount Union's MSN Program?
I chose Mount Union because of their academic excellence as well as the newness of the program. Being accepted into the first cohort of students allows me to grow with the program. The enthusiasm and excitement from the staff about the program is contagious and uplifting compared to others. The professors in the program make sure students have a solid understanding of the material by creating scenarios we would see when we practice hands-on lessons. Professors also check in on us and make learning fun.
