Ultimate Career Goal

There are so many things to do in life! I would love to be an actress and director, as well as a singer, voice teacher, and choral director. Thanks to Mount Union's music and theatre programs, I am able to take classes in all of these areas and envision myself pursuing each of these careers.

Experiential Learning Opportunities

Throughout my time at Mount Union I've embarked on many experiences that have helped me become the professional that employers are looking for, and most importantly, want to have in their company. Last summer I went on the Concert Choir International Tour in Europe as well as singing with the Canton Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in the spring 2022, and singing with the Cleveland Women's Orchestra. These events have allowed me not only to continue building my skillset, but build my network system as well. Internally, I've held a few solo events, which all together have enriched my musicianship and theatrical experience.

Impactful Faculty

I would say that my choral director and academic advisor, Dr. Grant Cook, during my first two years at Mount Union, has had the biggest impact on my experience as a student. He helped us create beautiful music in all of the university's choirs, and has spent a lot of time helping me specifically, with scheduling courses as well as other challenges that college brings. I know he always cares and is willing to help me. The faculty at Mount Union are the reason why I chose to pursue a double major in music and theatre. Meeting them before making my decision to attend made me realize that their skillset and determination would help me build my own persona to succeed in the entertainment industry.
