UMU Professor Awarded Grant to Aid Teaching with No-Cost-to-Student Course Materials
Dr. Nicole Johnson, professor of philosophy and religious studies at the University of Mount Union, was recently selected as one of 30 faculty members from Ohio higher education institutions to be awarded an Open Educational Resources (OER) Course Redesign Grant from OhioLINK.
Mount Union’s Green Revolving Fund Finds Sustainability Success
The University of Mount Union’s Green Revolving Fund (GRF) continues to make a commitment to sustainability efforts on campus. The GRF was approved in 2016 by the University’s Board of Trustees and has been used to cycle back savings from energy efficiency improvements to fund future sustainability projects on campus.

Community Disability Law the Focus of Spectrum Center to Open House on November 15
The University of Mount Union’s Spectrum Education Center is hosting a Courage 2 Communicate Community Open House on Wednesday, November 15 from 10 a.m. – noon. The focus of the event will be to educate the community on Ohio’s Communication Disability Law while meeting with and learning strategies from those who support individuals with communication disabilities.

Raider Racing Baja Team One of the 30 Best in the World in Fall Competition
The University of Mount Union’s Raider Racing team placed 28th overall in the endurance race at the 2023 Baja SAE Ohio event from September 6-10 at the BriarCliff MX track in Nashport. The event was attended by 76 collegiate teams from the United States, Mexico, Canada and India.
