Nearly 200 Volunteers Participate in Fall Service Projects at Mount Union
The COVID-19 pandemic made traditional volunteering through the University of Mount Union’s Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement undoubtedly difficult. Yet, 196 individuals participated in at least one of seven unique community service initiatives during the University’s fall 2020 semester.

The framework of the mind is a spider web of connections, connecting to every experience, emotion, thought, and action. It is when the spider web gets tangled that effects the well-being of the individual. There are more stressors than there have ever been and is on a scale that goes as wide as the world. The University of Mount Union takes that into account, assisting their students with any type of problem that may arise.
University of Mount Union Lecture Series for the 2018-2019 Academic Year
The Mount Union Lecture Series is made up of a number of endowed lectureships, special event keynote speakers, convocations, music recitals, art exhibits and theatrical performances held on campus. These events provide learning across disciplines, bringing new perspectives and ideas to campus from places throughout the world. All lectures are free and open to the public.

Brumbaugh Scholar Students Participate in Hands-on Naturalist Research with Faculty
The University of Mount Union’s Brumbaugh Scholars Program has given students the opportunity to work with a faculty mentor for hands-on research at the Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center. Selected students were expected to commit at least eight weeks to their research and collaboration with their mentor.

Bluecoats and Mount Union Announce New Home For Corps’ Annual Spring Training in Stark County
Bluecoats and the University of Mount Union announced the relocation of Bluecoats’ annual Spring Training to the Mount Union campus in Alliance, OH. The six-week event, held each summer, is the pre-season training camp for the world-champion Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps. All 170 performers, and more than fifty instructors, designers, operations staff, and executive leadership will utilize the campus for nearly six weeks.

The University of Mount Union's 123-acre campus is located in Alliance, Ohio, 70 miles of Cleveland and 80 miles from Pittsburgh.
