Mount Union's Department of Performing Arts

The University of Mount Union Department of Performing Arts offers vital instruction and essential experiences for future professional performers and teachers while also fulfilling its role in the University's liberal arts foundation. A highly qualified faculty provides fine training for students who anticipate careers in musical and theatrical performance, theatrical production, music composition, and music education. Course offerings allow all students to acquaint themselves with the rich musical and theatrical heritage of the world and to develop a greater understanding of the aesthetic experience.

Students in the Department of Performing Arts have a wide range of degree paths to select from to suit almost any career ambition. Majors include Music Education, Music, with concentrations in Composition and Performance, and Theatre, with tracks in Design/Technical, Musical Theatre and Performance.  Students can also minor in Music and Theatre as well.
